LENEXA, KAN. -- The National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC), representing more than 750 small and mid-sized independent cable and broadband operators across the U.S., today announced the appointment of Bob Ormberg, vice president of content, GCI, as its new chairman of the board of directors. Ormberg, previously vice chairman of the board, replaces chairman Gary Shorman, president and CEO of Eagle Communications, who will remain a member of the board.

NCTC also appointed Brad Mefferd, chief administrative officer for Buckeye Broadband, as its new vice chairman of the board. NCTC named Ken Johnson, senior vice president of technology services at Cable ONE, as a new board member.
