PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Terry Cordova, executive vice president and CTO of Altice USA, and Jim Blackley, executive vice president, Engineering and Information Technology for Charter Communications, will co-chair the program committee for SCTE/ISBE Cable-Tec Expo 2017 in Denver, the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and its global arm, the International Society of Broadband Experts (ISBE), announced today.
Cordova and Blackley will drive the creation of an Expo 2017 program that will be centered upon new technology approaches that can power next-generation service opportunities. Themed “The Big Deal,” Cable-Tec Expo 2017 again will be a nexus for the development, implementation, and—importantly—purchase of new products and solutions. SCTE/ISBE Cable-Tec Expo will be conducted Tuesday through Friday, Oct. 17-20, 2017, at the Colorado Convention Center.
“Terry Cordova and Jim Blackley are at the epicenter of the trends that are shaping the future of our industry,” said Mark Dzuban, president and CEO of SCTE/ISBE. “Their visions of how to implement transformative customer experiences are pivotal both to the product roadmaps of technology partners and to the development of SCTE/ISBE training that has a material effect on operators’ bottom lines.”
“At Altice USA, we are focused on investing in innovation and technology and commend SCTE/ISBE’s commitment to applied science, which is accelerating the deployment of advanced technologies such as fiber to the home, Wi-Fi 3.0, and customer-focused platforms,” said Cordova. “I look forward to working with Jim and the SCTE/ISBE Cable-Tec Expo 2017 Program Committee to develop an agenda that aligns SCTE/ISBE’s educational strengths with operator needs.”
