Tru2Way in Atlanta

9:10 AM -- WASHINGTON -- The Cable Show -- Panasonic Corp. (NYSE: PC) has a broad set of tru2way set-top and TV demos here at the show, but the release announcing them sort of buries the lead. Deep down, it gives just a quick mention that Panny's CableLabs -certified tru2sway Viera hi-def sets are now available for retail sale in Atlanta. (See Panny Shows Off Tru2way.)

Like previous retail launches in Chicago and Denver, Panny is teaming up in Atlanta with Comcast Corp. (Nasdaq: CMCSA, CMCSK), the area's incumbent MSO. (See Denver, Chicago First to Get Tru2way TVs.)

And Comcast is evidently getting tru2way turned up here in the nation's capital. Panasonic and officials with Advanced Digital Broadcast (ADB) both note that their tru2way demos at this week's show are running on the MSO's live cable plant.
