NEW ORLEANS -- Net Insight, a leading provider of efficient and scalable transport solutions for media, IP and broadcast networks, today announced that the Wisconsin Independent Network (WIN) and Midwest Video Solutions, in which WIN has ownership, has expanded its IPTV network with Net Insight’s Nimbra platform.

WIN offers state-of-the-art fiber optic network and data center services in the states of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and beyond. The first phase of the WIN implementation used Net Insight Nimbra 680 switches to support its Ethernet and IPTV networks. WIN recently ordered the Nimbra 320, Net Insight’s new compact solution for delivery of demanding media services to access locations. The Nimbra 320 allows the WIN network to expand to additional sites and territories while insuring 100 percent QoS and lossless routing for its IPTV network distribution. Net Insight’s efficient multicast capability allows highly reliable video to share the same infrastructure as other premium services.

“The initial roll-out of our network with the Nimbra platform resulted in immediate and overwhelmingly favorable results, making the decision to expand with Net Insight a simple choice,” said Scott Hoffman CEO of Wisconsin Independent Network (WIN). ”With the expansion, we are now able to extend our territories and guarantee premium, high-quality services to our customers.”
