Ad Emblem

8:45 AM -- The MSO-backed Canoe Ventures advanced advertising "services bureau" had a bit of a coming-out party yesterday here at the CTAM Summit in Boston.

The occasion wasn't marked with streamers, balloons, and sparklers, but some execs who are key to the initiative/company did spell out a few things about what Canoe Ventures is… and isn't. (See Canoe Ventures: What It Is, What It Ain't .)

The Canoe folks coupled those details with a brief PowerPoint presentation that put the venture's logo on public display for the first time that I know of. Here it is:

Canoe Ventures Logo

We've asked for the color version. Not sure a snapshot of a slide being projected on a big screen does it justice. We'll know soon enough.

re: Ad Emblem Interesting logo. Looking at the graphic element to the right of the word, is that half a canoe (hardly a sea-worthy vessel), or a cup that's either only slightly full or mostly empty?

re: Ad Emblem Definitely the leading edge of the boat...but guess that's one of the things that's bound to happen when a project name "sticks" so well it end up becoming the permanent name. I still haven't received the full-color logo, so maybe that will look better than this. JB
