IRVING, Texas -- If you're a Dallas-Fort Worth-area Verizon FiOS TV customer and you can't make the Friday night lights this week, don't worry. Starting Monday (Nov. 7), the company is launching Verizon FiOS1 Dallas, which will air a tape-delayed "High School Football Game of the Week" on FiOS TV Channel 1.

FiOS1 Dallas will feature tape-delayed regular season football games matching up 38 Metroplex-area teams, as well as the state playoff games from Cowboys Stadium. In addition, starting in December, FiOS1 Dallas will air live and tape-delayed boys' high school basketball games.

"Texans crave sports at all levels, and FiOS1 will help satisfy FiOS TV customers' appetite for high school athletics," said Michelle Webb, FiOS1's director of programming. "We expect FiOS1 to be a very popular destination for football and basketball fans throughout the area."
