LOS ANGELES -- The Cable Show -- What can you see in a random hour spent on the show floor here? Quite a lot, actually. And though the crowds and booths weren't as manic as they have been in the past, this show is still a riot compared to the last two Supercomms.
This was my first Cable Show, but seemed like a great turnout to me. The show floor had a lot of traffic (except for Thursday) and the sessions I attended were standing-room only. What did you veterans think of it this year?
I haven't gone every year, but it did seem busier in some ways. Oddly, the show floor itself looked about the same as the New Orleans show from 2 years ago. I guess marketing budgets have been frozen in time on the content side of the business. Without the cable networks pushing the envelope, the whole show might look as boring as the last two Supercomm shows did.
