YAKUM, Israel -- Metalink Ltd. (Nasdaq: MTLK), a global provider and developer of high performance wireline and wireless broadband communication silicon solutions, today announced that its customer, Tellion Inc., has introduced a new set of broadband access products incorporating Metalink's Total-VDSL solution. These new products provide scalable performance of over 50 Mbps over short distances and service of up to 5 km within a single hardware and software platform.

In November 2003, Metalink announced that Tellion was selected by KT Corp. for VDSL mass deployment in Korea, based on Metalink's 4-band VDSL products.

"Metalink's Total-VDSL solution introduces, for the first time, a true and complete xDSL solution which covers the needs of an entire complex broadband access network, such as Korea's," said Mr. Jaeguen Kim, President and CEO of Tellion, "Our ongoing work with Metalink has resulted in uniquely differentiated products that ideally serve this challenging market."

"Thanks to the dedication and outstanding work done by Tellion, we were able to introduce Total-VDSL to the Korean broadband market shortly after 4- band VDSL started its mass deployment," said Mr. Tzvi Shukhman, Chairman and CEO of Metalink. "Korea remains a key market in our wireline strategy as we increase our penetration into the longer reach segment covered by Total-VDSL."
