Grant County Public Utility District purchases Telco Systems' EdgeGate CPE VoIP Platform to support the Zipp Network

FOXBORO, Mass. -- Telco Systems, a leader in network edge technology and IP switching platforms, today announced that the Grant County Public Utility District (PUD) in Washington state, has made a major purchase of the EdgeGate(tm) CPE VoIP Platform to support the Zipp Network creating a fiber-to-the-home network for the people of Grant County. Once construction of the Zipp Network is complete, Grant County will be able to offer its customers access to high quality services including high-speed Internet connection averaging in excess of 500 Kbps, digital video including Video-on-Demand, and access to telephone service, which may include extended calling areas.
