On a GAAP basis, net loss for the third quarter of 2006 was $1.7 million, or $(0.04) per share, compared to a net loss of $2.5 million, or $(0.06) per share, in the second quarter of 2006. For the third quarter of 2005, net loss was $85,000, or $(0.00) per share.Cash and marketable securities at September 30, 2006 was $122.5 million, up slightly from the cash position at June 30, 2006."I'm pleased with the financial results we achieved in the third quarter relative to plan," said Joshua Pickus, President and CEO of SupportSoft. "Over the past 90 days, we made significant progress in strengthening our traditional corporate business and laying the foundation for our new consumer technology support business.
For the fourth quarter of 2006, the Company currently expects total revenue of $12 million to $13 million and a non-GAAP net loss of $(0.04) to $(0.06) per share.
