SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Sunrise Telecom Incorporated (Nasdaq: SRTI - News), a leading provider of service verification equipment for telecommunications and cable broadband industries, through its Pro.Tel division, today announced the availability of TAMS 7-VoIP, an integrated Monitoring System for Public Switched Telephone Networks (PSTN) and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) networks.

TAMS 7-VoIP (Traffic Analysis and Monitoring System for SS#7 and VoIP) gathers data from the world-adopted Sunrise Telecom analyzers, including NeTracker(TM), 3GMaster, and STT-MSA, and provides an extensive set of tools for traffic analysis, network management and troubleshooting, as well as MOS (Mean Opinion Score) on live audio traffic.

The product offers customers deploying VoIP an integrated solution to better manage their telecommunications network infrastructure, monitor quality of service status and proactively identify potential points of revenue leakage.

Applications addressed by TAMS include troubleshooting, traffic reconciliation, disconnected calls litigations, CDRs (Call Detail Records) verification, KPIs (Key Performance Indices) reporting, trends analysis, audio quality analysis, historical data analysis, and legal interception.

TAMS can also be integrated in 3rd-party operations support systems for revenue assurance applications like fraud detection, billing verification, interconnection revenue management, and margin analysis.

"Now Sunrise Telecom customers can easily expand the functionality of their existing Sunrise Telecom analyzers by purchasing TAMS as a network monitoring solution," said Angelo Baccarani, Product Manager for Systems Integration at Sunrise Telecom Pro.Tel division. "Carriers and service providers deploying VoIP can adopt TAMS to produce information valuable for multiple departments such as network operations, network planning, marketing, and quality assurance; all while minimizing the investment and maximizing benefits," he added.

Sunrise Telecom V.P. of Marketing and COO, Paul Marshall, said, "We eagerly enter the market of VoIP Monitoring Systems with the TAMS 7-VoIP solution, the latest achievement in protocol and service analysis from the veteran team in our Protocol Division. According to recent research from Frost & Sullivan, the VoIP monitoring market is just now being born and will grow significantly in the next 3 years. Sunrise Telecom offers its customers the best solution, not simply a product, by partnering with its customers, listening to them and solving their problems through customization and first-class support. Our TAMS 7-VoIP offers the flexibility necessary to help service providers and carriers migrate from TDM/PSTN networks to full-IP architectures. Customers can count on Sunrise Telecom to keep pace with the growth of their network and services, and to stay on top of the evolving telephony standards."
