SAN DIEGO -- Sorrento Networks (Nasdaq:FIBR - news), a leading supplier of end-to-end, intelligent optical networking solutions for metro and regional applications worldwide, today announced the addition of JumpStart(SM) 400, a CWDM (coarse wavelength division multiplexing) platform, to its portfolio of optical transport products. JumpStart 400 provides a flexible, entry-level solution for optical edge network applications and supports up to four high-bandwidth, full-duplex services on a single fiber. The JumpStart 400 platform will be generally available in January 2002, with volume shipments expected to commence in March 2002.
