Philippines FiberCity deploys Telco Systems's metro Ethernet ring switch routers and Access211 VOIP analog telephone adaptor

LONDON -- Telco Systems, A BATM Company (LSE: BVC), today announced that FiberCity, the fastest growing IP solutions provider in the Philippines, has deployed the Telco Systems solution that includes Fiber Routing switches and CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) to deliver its SIP-based VoIP phone service and commercial interactive TV services across the Philippines.

The Telco Systems devices enabled FiberCity’s broadband subscribers to make and receive reliable phone calls with superior voice quality, faxes and commercial interactive TV services such as live TV channels and VOD over broadband Internet using a standard telephone, fax machine or Personal Computer/TV.

The Telco Systems solution enabled allows FiberCity to build IP Ethernet-based metro access network with the same reliability as TDM network but with many more services. FiberCity’s facilities are connected to most business, commercial and residential buildings in the major areas, as well as to hotels, industrial areas and homes in the major subdivisions in the country.

Telco Systems devices passed FiberCity’s extensive interoperability testing process and supports the broad range of FiberCity’s Metro Ethernet features, including Carrier-Grade redundancy with Sub-50ms Failure Recovery Time in the Ring Environment, Standard IEEE Fast-Recovery Mechanisms, MVR and IGMP for fast “Zapping” (switching) between TV channels, Fairness and traffic prioritization per user per application on the Ring, Trunking and 802.1ad Link Aggregation, Spatial Re-Use and Dynamic Traffic Allocation, SLA Validation using OAM, QoS, User isolation and more.
