YouTube Gets 2B Views Daily

10:00 AM -- YouTube Inc. announced today that it now attracts 2 billion views per day, after five years of existence.

The site also announced that it's celebrating its fifth birthday with the "My YouTube Story" project, which invites users to upload videos explaining "how YouTube has changed or shaped their lives." The project can be found at YouTube's new "Five Year" channel, launched today.

The "Five Year" channel also features videos in which "luminaries" like Conan O'Brien, Katie Couric, director Pedro Almodóvar, "Father of the Internet" Vint Cerf, and designer Jonathan Adler unveil their five favorite YouTube videos. Does it get any more exciting?
