NEC’s CX2510-MC features a built-in media converter and 24 optical fiber ports

HONG KONG -- ITU Telecom Asia -- NEC Corporation(NEC) will exhibit CX2510-MC, a new FTTx Access Switch for highest-quality performance of broadband networks, at ITU Telecom Asia 2002 to be held from December 2nd to 7th in Hong Kong, China.CX2510-MC is designed for telecom carriers to meet Internet subscribers' needs for higher access speed and more variations in Internet access technology. The CX2510-MC is a high-density optical fiber accommodation device with the functions of communication prohibition and minimum bandwidth guarantee to offer advanced service to the telephony networks. It has excellent maintainability with its built-in Media Converter and highly integrated mounting device to provide various public network services.
