Light Reading's coverage of the NCTA National Show in Atlanta earlier this week helped illuminate several panels, sessions, and hallway discussions concerning cable's strategy for countering the IPTV plans of the telephone companies. (See NCTA: Cable's IP Appreciation Party, Cuban Won't Stream HDNet, and Cable CTOs Tee Off on Telco TV.)

But after all the talk about network design, net neutrality, new regulation, and the cable "quadruple" [ed. note: ack!] play, we would be remiss not to point out that content is still king. Now that NCTA is officially over, we are cleaning out the memory on the camera and giving it all to you. Enjoy.

Finally, when we left the show, one thing we noticed is that getting an adult film actress's autograph is actually easier than getting a press kit at a lot of the show booths. Seriously. Look:
