BOTHELL, Wash. -- Myrio Corporation, a leading provider of IPTV software, today launched the Myrio Interactive Development Kit (iDK), which facilitates the integration of Myrio’s popular IPTV platform with set-top boxes and consumer electronics devices. Myrio’s IPTV platform is a scalable solution for broadband operators deploying commercial video services to digital TV subscribers.

In addition to providing instant compatibility with Myrio’s solution and access to its customers who are deploying digital TV services today, the iDK program enhances a manufacturer’s ability to support advanced IPTV and interactive applications rapidly and cost-effectively while laying the foundation for future compliance with the emerging ITV standards.

Industry-leading set-top box vendors including Siemens, Amino Communications, Entone Technologies, i3 micro technology and Zhone Technologies are supporting Myrio iDK solutions.

“As broadband operators become true full-service providers - offering voice, video and data - they have a need to maintain a consistent user experience across a disparate set of hardware and software platforms,” said Chris Coles, president and CEO of Myrio. “In response to this need, we developed the Myrio Interactive Development Kit that includes the tools and components necessary to easily provide and deploy the most desired applications such as digital TV, pay-per-view, video on demand, personal video recording, Web access and more.”
