SAN JOSE, Calif. and ACTON, Mass. -- sentitO Networks, a leading provider of open and distributed VoIP switching equipment and service delivery solutions for global telecommunications service providers, today announced that KBT Systems has selected sentitO's Open Network Xchange (ONX) to deliver a broad range of VoIP wholesale services to retail service providers and enterprise customers, including VoIP termination, prepaid calling card, international long distance, and voice over broadband.

sentitO's Open Network Xchange (ONX) is the first VoIP switching and service delivery solution purpose-built for VoIP. Unlike other solutions, ONX combines an open and distributed architecture with custom, carrier-grade hardware that delivers better scale, higher voice quality, and a broader range of services and applications. ONX scales cost-effectively to support both low-and high-density deployments and delivers carrier-class features such as 1:N line card protection and a full suite of voice compression options. In addition, ONX has a flexible, SIP-based architecture that allows service providers to deliver customized applications both today and in the future.

"We chose sentitO's ONX for its combination of carrier-grade reliability and its open and flexible service delivery architecture," said Stephen Mundy, President and CEO of KBT Systems. "The ONX allows us to deliver multiple applications, while providing us the flexibility to scale cost-effectively to support the new customers we are bringing online each day."

"We are excited to be working with KBT as they expand their range of VoIP services throughout the world," said Dennis Chateauneuf, CEO of sentitO Networks. "Being purpose-built for VoIP, our ONX was designed from day one to help carriers and service providers roll out VoIP transport and services today with a flexible, distributed architecture that allows them to anticipate the inevitable service and application trends of tomorrow."
