NEW YORK -- Genesis Networks, (http://www.gen-networks.com) a new provider of international video services, has launched its groundbreaking video over IP network, offering total customer control over bandwidth, routing and scheduling, with guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS), and innovative services that enable customers to move their bandwidth anywhere on the network. "We've changed the dynamics and economics of video transmission," said Genesis President and CEO Paul Dujardin, a 30-year veteran of the business. "Customers no longer must purchase underutilized private lines, but instead have portable bandwidth over a virtual private network, allowing them to move feeds among locations at a moment's notice." At an October 8 demonstration for potential customers at the St. Regis Hotel in New York, Genesis showcased the quality of its network with live feeds from both London and Miami. Genesis also demonstrated its customer control software, setting up a feed between London and New York, dynamically specifying the bandwidth, and simulating an alarm to show how the network monitoring system reacts and responds to failures.
