FutureSoft announces access router solutions on Intel XScale technology-based control plane processors

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- FutureSoft, a leading provider of communications software solutions, announced access router solutions on the Intel(R) IXC1100 control plane processor, which is based on the Intel(R) XScale(TM) microarchitecture. This was announced at the Network Processor Conference at San Jose, CA. FutureSoft's access router solutions, with OSPF, PIM or IS-IS as components, on Intel(R) IXC1100 control plane processor will enable telecommunications and data communications equipment manufacturers to rapidly develop high performance routers and gateways. This will enable OEMs to gain the critical time-to-market advantage. "We have been working closely with Intel(R) to enable our access router solutions to support processors based on Intel(R)'s XScale microarchitecture. With these solutions, OEMs will be able to leverage on FutureSoft's extensive experience in routing and network processor technology, to deliver differentiated routing products to the market," said Ashish Basu, Vice President -- Sales and Marketing, FutureSoft.
