Ericsson signs Ethernet DSL access delivery contract with Finnet Logistics

STOCKHOLM -- Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERICY - News) and Finnet Logistics Ltd. that coordinates both the domestic and international purchase of services and goods for the Finnet Group have signed a delivery contract. It gives all Finnet companies equal opportunities to deploy Ericsson Ethernet DSL Access technology in order to offer new type of broadband services for residential and business users.

Ethernet DSL Access technology is an attractive solution for Finnet companies operating locally and nationally because of the low cost of initial investment and maintenance as well as the excellent scalability. Finnet operators can thus build a cost-effective broadband access network and make broadband services a mass-scale business.

"In 2003 the number of Finnet broadband customers grew by 94%. Our domestic market share is over 20%. With extensive coverage on the broadband market, we are now focusing on further developing our broadband services nationwide," says Matti Makkonen, Managing Director, Finnet Ltd.
