Teleste Ships DOCSIS 3.1 Nodes

TURKU, Finland -- Teleste has started shipments of the Teleste ACE8, the first DOCSIS 3.1 node on the market. The intelligent, compact-size node offers operators cost-efficient access to high transmission capacity.
Teleste, an international technology group specialised in broadband video and data communication systems and services, today announces that it has started shipments of the Teleste ACE8, the first DOCSIS 3.1 node on the market.
The Teleste ACE8 is one active output node for deep fibre solutions that fully meets the requirements for DOCSIS 3.1 and DVB-C2. The node has a downstream frequency band that reaches up to 1.2 GHz which ensures fulfilment of future bandwidth needs. Its upstream is flexible and can be easily upgraded to 200 MHz.
The Teleste ACE8 has been designed for flexible, future-proof network installations. It offers service providers cost-efficient access to high transmission capacity. With compact size and sleek housing, the node is easily and effortlessly fit into European-style street cabins. It also supports intelligent features such as automatic adjustment and configuration, as well as automatic ingress control to guarantee the quality of upstream signals. The intelligent features significantly reduce the need for manual maintenance, help cut down service outages and increase customer satisfaction.
