Breznick's Back on Cable Duty

Good news for Light Reading Cable fans: Alan Breznick, former editor and Bad Santa look-alike, is back in the hot seat and will be directing Light Reading's cable and video content starting May 6. Breznick made the (figurative) leap across the Light Reading group office six years ago when he joined sibling operation Heavy Reading as its cable sector analyst. Now he's back, as Light Reading's Cable/Video Practice Leader, and will be spearheading coverage of critical industry developments such as DOCSIS 3.1, the integration of Wi-Fi access into cable operations, multi-screen video, business services, content delivery networks (CDNs), all manner of broadband technologies and so much more it'll make your hearts flutter. So please be fulsome in your message board felicitations as we welcome Big Al back into the cable and video news fold. — Ray Le Maistre, Editor-in-Chief, Light Reading

re: Breznick's Back on Cable Duty Thanks much, everybody. It's great to be back. Not sure I agree with either the Bad Santa or Walter White comparisons, tho we Jewish guys don't get to play Santa too often. Anyway, let's give a special shoutout to Mari, who's been filling in so well during the gap here.

re: Breznick's Back on Cable Duty Woohoo, Alan! Finally someone to prop up that poor girl who's been writing LRC posts for the last few weeks. ;) Congrats.

re: Breznick's Back on Cable Duty Since I've known and worked with Alan for years, I know Light Reading Cable readers will benefit greatly from his experience, industry insights, and writing skills. Plus he's an all-round nice guy, so I don't think of him as resembling Bad Santa, although I could foresee him shaving his head and becoming Breaking Bad's Walter White. http://s234.photobucket.com/us...
