Clark Leaving SCTE?

Rumors started bubbling up last month in New Orleans at The Cable Show, but multiple industry insiders are confirming today that Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) president and CEO John Clark is leaving the organization.

SCTE declined comment this morning, but an official announcement is expected as early as today, coming just after the Society polished off its 25th Cable-Tec Expo. Last week's show in Philly drew about 11,000. (See Expo Draws 11,000.)

Clark, who oversees all aspects of the Society, became president of SCTE in 1998 and added the CEO title in 2000.

We'll keep you posted.

Update: The SCTE confirmed it Monday afternoon and added a few details. Here's our story.
