Arris Lands CCAP Deal in Poland

WARSAW, Poland -- Multimedia Polska Group has today announced the E6000 Converged Edge Router (CER) from ARRIS Group, Inc. (ARRS) will spearhead the company's drive to upgrade its channel density and readiness for deploying converged services. This deployment, in conjunction with ARRIS value added reseller VECTOR, ensures Multimedia Polska Group's subscribers receive a high-performance broadband service and exceptional TV viewing experience.
Multimedia Polska Group was looking to upgrade from the ARRIS C4 CMTS solution and wanted a platform that could build on features the company already relied on such as hitless cable access module (CAM) fail-over, a fully redundant design with no single point of failure and hot-swappable cards. The E6000 CER offers all of this along with an unprecedented level of service group and channel density, both upstream and downstream.
"Advances in technology are radically altering subscriber demands and requirements. Our strategy is focused around the level and quality of services that we provide, and our main goal is to guarantee subscribers high quality television and fast and reliable Internet access. The implementation of ARRIS E6000 CER will have a significant impact on our services progress and standard," said Krzysztof Jaskolski, Technical Department Director of Multimedia Polska Group. "Our successful, long-term cooperation with ARRIS and VECTOR guarantees the reliability and quality of our common undertaking."
"Multimedia Polska Group is a valued customer of ARRIS in Poland and we're proud that they continue to turn to ARRIS for their IP content delivery needs. As the industry's leading CCAP solution, the ARRIS E6000 CER is capable of maximising the return on the initial investment because of its ability to scale and it will also reduce operating costs without compromising on performance," said Steve McCaffery, Senior Vice President, EMEA & Asia Pacific, ARRIS.
"ARRIS and VECTOR have a long-term relationship during which we have deployed broadband infrastructure solutions at many leading Polish operators. Solutions offered by VECTOR enable operators to provide high-performance services, keep their offering highly competitive and stay at the forefront of the market," said Marcin Ulasik, Product Development Director, VECTOR. "The ARRIS E6000 CER optimizes bandwidth enabling the operator to provide Internet services of speeds up to 1Gbps."
