BOULDER, Colo. -- Carrier Access Corporation (Nasdaq: CACSE - News), a leading provider of broadband communications equipment, today announced that CentricVoice, a Texas-based, fully voice-enabled ISP, has chosen the Carrier Access Adit® 3104 IP Business Gateway to power its Centric-Flex hosted Voice over IP (VoIP) services.

CentricVoice is deploying the Adit 3104 for trunk replacement and Hosted IP solutions, as an interface to existing PSTN facilities and to provide a proven analog interface for PBXs, FAX lines, modems, and telephones. "The Adit 3104 is the first SIP-based device to cost-effectively provide the performance and analog connectivity features required for successful services such as ours," said Johnny Berry, Chief Operating Officer, CentricVoice. "These cost savings, combined with the Adit's ease of installation and easy management, allow us to serve our customers faster and more effectively than ever before."

CentricVoice's IP service is among the nation's first to offer bundled IP-based voice services, data services, video conferencing, and collocation to small and medium enterprise customers. As its customer base rapidly expands, CentricVoice is continually enhancing its service offerings by adding new services, products and solutions. The Adit 3104 IP Business Gateway enables the delivery of converged IP services quickly and cost-effectively. By integrating the features of a high-performance WAN access router, stateful firewall, analog interfaces, SIP protocol and VoIP gateway, the Adit 3104 consolidates several platforms into one. With fewer network elements to buy, install and manage, CentricVoice greatly reduces its capital, inventory and operational costs without sacrificing performance or functionality. Additionally, the Adit 3104's proven interoperability with network-based softswitch platforms allows CentricVoice to quickly deploy its hosted VoIP services without the typical lag time to market.

"We are excited to see our new Adit 3104 IP Business Gateway enabling new and profitable business models for hosted PBX services like Centric-Flex," said Marty Hahnfeld, senior vice president, Converged Access, Carrier Access. "Carrier Access is committed to helping service providers meet the growing demand for converged IP services, and with CentricVoice we are watching the Adit 3104 do just that."
