DENVER -- With the rapid pace of change in social media, entertainment, technology, user-generated content and advertising, consumers are torn between devices and bombarded with new bells and whistles at every turn. Behind the scenes, content and application developers, advertisers and bandwidth owners are struggling to integrate platforms, meet myriad consumer needs and emerge with a winning business case.

In an effort to figure out what comes next, CableNEXT producers in cooperation with industry leaders have convened a summit of innovators to take an in-depth look at how operators can use cable's technology platforms to enhance consumer experience with a dvanced advertising applications, content enhancements and new communications features. The speaker line-up includes CEOs, Chief Technology Officers, and business development experts from the likes of Charter Communications, Comcast Cable, Comcast Spotlight, Cox Communications, NCTA, Rogers Communications, Time Warner Cable, Bear Stearns, Walden Venture Capital, CableLabs, Harmonic, Motorola, Aurora Networks, C-COR, EGT, ICTV, Incognito, Intel Consumer Electronics Group, Intec, SeaChange International, Sigma Systems, Sun Microsystems, Tandberg Television, TiVO, TMNG Global and many more.

"Continued interaction between the three critical functions of advertising, application development and broadband distribution is very important," said Tony Werner, CTO of Comcast, whose opening keynote kicks off the conference on Wednesday, November 28, 2007. "What's next for cable is highly reliant on what's best for the high-tech communities, like those along the Silicon Valley corridor. The many possible intersections are well worth finding, evaluating and, at the end of the day, pursuing."
