Charter Communications today announced three new additions and a promotion in its Product and Strategy team broadening its expertise for the continued advancement of Charter's product portfolio.

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHTR) today announced three new additions and a promotion in its Product and Strategy team broadening its expertise for the continued advancement of Charter's product portfolio.

Jason Wyrick has been named Vice President, Application Development and will be responsible for user experience development for all of Charter's products; Justin Colwell has been named Vice President, Wireless Products and will be responsible for the overall wireless strategy including residential and public Wi-Fi; Basil Badawiyeh has been named Senior Director, Media Products and will be responsible for the media roadmap, product management and delivery of Charter's advertising product suites; and Peter Brown has been promoted to Vice President, User Experience Design and will be responsible for the development of consistent, state-of-the-art user experiences for all of Charter's customer-facing products.

"Each brings valuable experience and a skill set that will be instrumental to Charter as we continue the design, development and deployment of innovative products that redefine the customer experience."

Wyrick and Brown will both report to Jodi Robinson, Senior Vice President, User Experience Design and Development, Badawiyeh will report to Gary Schanman, Senior Vice President, Video Products, and Colwell will report to Carl Leuschner, Vice President, Internet/Phone Products.

Jason Wyrick joins Charter after nearly 10 years with Starz Entertainment, where he most recently lead the Digital Platforms team in development, launch, and ongoing management of digital products and services. He had responsibility for the creation and delivery for all internet facing systems and products. Wyrick has held a variety of management and engineering positions at both Fortune 500 companies as well as startups.

Wyrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado-Boulder.

Justin Colwell joins Charter with extensive experience in cable and wireless technology, R&D and wireless voice/data engineering. He was most recently business and technology leader in CableLabs' Network Technology Department as Vice President, Access Network Technologies. Prior to joining CableLabs, Colwell worked as part of Cricket's national RF engineering team, managing all aspects of the organization's strategic vision, customer experience management and technology development. Colwell has also held various engineering positions at both AT&T/Cingular and USWest/QWEST Wireless.

Colwell holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Colorado-Boulder.

Peter Brown joined Charter in December of 2012 as Director, User Experience Design after 12 years of digital agency experience, most recently as a partner at Atlas Advertising where he served as Senior Art Director, Creative Director and finally Interactive Director. There he was responsible for the management, quality and revenue output of all creative and technology work exiting the agency. Prior to joining Atlas, Brown served as Art Director for Royal Magnet as well as ccIntellect.

Brown holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Colorado State University and further attended the Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design and the Art Institute of Colorado.

Basil Badawiyeh joins Charter with broad executive, product management and engineering experience in web, video infrastructure, advertising technologies and corresponding mobile client applications. Most recently with RGB Networks as Vice President of Product for Multiscreen advertising, Badawiyeh built and launched the company's advertising initiatives. Badawiyeh previously held leadership positions at mediaNext Labs, Technicolor, the ARRIS Group and Adelphia Communications.

Badawiyeh holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo & an Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT.
