Broadcom's high-performance cable modem chips provide the enabling technology for two-way, high-speed Internet access over cable.According to InStat/MDR, an independent market research firm, the worldwide cable modem market is expected to grow to over 20 million subscribers by 2003. Currently, Motorola's Broadband Communication Sector is the leading provider of cable modems, having shipped over 10 million modems to date.
