MINNEAPOLIS -- ADC (NASDAQ:ADCT)(www.adc.com) announced today the availability of the OmniReach(TM) Multi-Fiber Service Terminal (MST), the newest addition to the OmniReach portfolio of infrastructure solutions for Fiber-To-The-X (FTTX) networks. Designed to withstand extreme outside plant conditions and accelerate drop deployment in optical access networks, the OmniReach MST features OptiTap(TM) ruggedized connector housings that are factory terminated and environmentally sealed.

Available in 2, 4, 6, 8, and 12 port versions, the OmniReach MST is a self-contained unit featuring hardened connectors for superior durability and reliability in the drop segment of the network. No enclosure is required, and the unit may be pole, slab, pedestal, or aerial mounted. Through a technology transfer agreement with Corning Cable Systems, ADC manufactures and integrates OptiTap ruggedized connector housings into all OmniReach MST units.

"Like all of ADC's OmniReach solutions, the OmniReach MST was built from the ground up specifically for FTTX deployments, and has been field-tested and proven to perform in real-world outside plant conditions," said Tom Kampf, director of fiber solutions for ADC. "Leveraging industry-leading OptiTap connector technology, ADC's OmniReach MST significantly reduces the terminal and drop cable installation time for connecting subscribers' premises, effectively reducing total installed cost of deployment."
