VANCOUVER -- 360networks Corporation, a leading provider of data communications services, announced today that it has signed a multi-year contract extension with T-Systems Inc., the North American subsidiary of T-Systems International, Deutsche Telekom's global IT and network services division. The terms of this contract were not disclosed.This high performance network will be used to enhance T-Systems' backbone architecture and network capabilities in North America. The contract expands and extends the relationship between 360networks and T-Systems, one of the world's largest IT and telecommunications service providers. T-Systems will initially lease additional 2.5 Gbps optical wavelengths and protected OC-n services, as well as collocation capacity and has the option to upgrade to 10 Gbps wavelengths."Our agreement with 360networks enables T-Systems to provide customers with faster, more reliable service over a state-of-the-art network," said Andrew Borgstrom, T-Systems Inc.'s chief executive officer.
