360networks signs a multi-year North American contract extension with T-Systems, with terms undisclosed

VANCOUVER -- 360networks Corporation, a leading provider of data communications services, announced today that it has signed a multi-year contract extension with T-Systems Inc., the North American subsidiary of T-Systems International, Deutsche Telekom's global IT and network services division. The terms of this contract were not disclosed.This high performance network will be used to enhance T-Systems' backbone architecture and network capabilities in North America. The contract expands and extends the relationship between 360networks and T-Systems, one of the world's largest IT and telecommunications service providers. T-Systems will initially lease additional 2.5 Gbps optical wavelengths and protected OC-n services, as well as collocation capacity and has the option to upgrade to 10 Gbps wavelengths."Our agreement with 360networks enables T-Systems to provide customers with faster, more reliable service over a state-of-the-art network," said Andrew Borgstrom, T-Systems Inc.'s chief executive officer. "It also offers significant cost savings for our enterprise and carrier customers.""We are pleased to expand our relationship with one of the world's premiere telecommunications and IT service providers," said Greg Maffei, 360networks chairman and chief executive officer.
