June 5, 2002
ATLANTA -- ZyXEL Communications Inc., a manufacturer of leading security, MxU and broadband access devices, today announced that its high-end VPN/Firewall, the ZyWALL 100, has joined the three other products in the ZyWALL family by gaining ICSA certification. All the ZyWALL products have been certified by ICSA Labs to meet worldwide, industry-accepted product standards in the categories of Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) and Virtual Private Network (VPN). The ICSA Labs' Certification Program provides assurance to the user community that certified products meet all ICSA identified requirements. The ZyWALL series includes the ZyWALL 1, 10, 50 and 100, which are scaled to allow telecommuter, small office/home office (SOHO) small-to-medium-sized business (SMB) customers and enterprise customers to purchase a firewall with the exact number of VPN tunnels needed for their specific application. "It is important to ZyXEL that all of our products meet whatever standards are in place to benchmark different technologies. Whether it is Cable Labs, WiFi or ICSA certifications, ZyXEL will strive to manufacture products that are recognized by all regulating and testing organizations," said Munira Brooks, vice president of sales and marketing.
