Xebeo does it again: Tony Przygienda hired as Principal Protocol Architect, joining coworkers Lampros Kalampoukas and Rusty Renkel

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, N.J. -- Xebeo Communications, Inc. an innovative private company that delivers carrier class switching platforms for next- generation packet based telecommunications networks, today announced Tony Przygienda has joined Xebeo as a Principal Protocol Architect. In that role, Dr. Przygienda will play a key role in the development of the Xebeo MetroBridge Optical Packet Switch. Dr. Przygienda is a recognized leader in Data Communications and IP Networking. Tony helped to reinstantiate and is currently co-chairing the IS-IS working group in the IETF. Throughout his career, Tony has successfully implemented and deployed large-scale implementations of the OSPF, PNNI and IS-IS protocols. Tony joins Xebeo from Redback Networks, where he was a Principal Engineer working on advanced features and forward looking projects in data software. Prior to Redback, Tony was one of the early employees at Siara Systems, responsible for the company's technical strategy, product definition and strategic positioning with customers. Prior to Siara Systems, Dr. Przygienda was the IP protocol lead on the Lucent Technologies Packetstar product line. Tony also played a lead role in Fore System's delivery of industry leading ATM and IP products and worked on IBM's IP and ATM products.
