Wide Open West completes widespread deployment of BigBand Networks solutions for networked digital broadcasting

ORLANDO, Fla. -- BigBand Networks, Inc., a leading provider of broadband multimedia platforms for broadcast television and on-demand services, today announced that Wide Open West, one of the twenty largest U.S. cable operators, has deployed multiple solutions for networked digital broadcast services on the BigBand BMR® (Broadband Multimedia-Service Router). Wide Open West is using BigBand Grooming and BigBand HDTV to control standard-definition and high-definition programming, with transport between facilities in Illinois, Michigan and Ohio based on integration of BigBand Transport Gateway with existing transport facilities.
