BRUSSELS, ESPOO, Finland and SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Nokia Siemens Networks and Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:JNPR - News), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced that VOO, a leading network operator in Belgium, has selected Nokia Siemens Networks to supply and support the Juniper Networks MX-series Ethernet Services Routers and EX-series Ethernet switches to create a high-performance, service-enabled network infrastructure. The new network will enable VOO to deliver fast, reliable and customizable multiplay services — including Video on Demand — to more than 1.2 million homes, providing competitive differentiation and driving profitability by delivering an exceptional customer experience.

“When it became clear our existing network would be difficult scale to meet future requirements, we needed a strategic deployment partner and world class vendor to create and deploy our new service-enabling network backbone,” said Jean-Michel Adant, CTO at VOO. “We selected Nokia Siemens Networks and Juniper for this key project because they are able to deliver a flexible, high-performance and cost-effective end-to-end solution that enables us to extract more value from our network by reducing operational costs and accelerating service model innovation.”
