FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- VoIP, Inc., (OTCBB:VOII), a leading provider of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communications solutions for service providers, resellers and consumers worldwide, utilizing technology developed by the company's CTO Shawn Lewis, who wrote the patents for the first Softswitch and SS7 Media Gateway for XCOM Technologies, Inc., a CLEC he co-founded and directed before its acquisition by Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:LVLT), announced today its strong, consistent growth - solidly securing its place as a leading VoIP service provider in the U.S.

"VoIP, Inc.'s growth during the past couple of years has been phenomenal, and we are proud to share some key metrics that are critical success factors for our company," said VoIP, Inc.'s CTO Shawn Lewis. "For instance, our explosive growth can be realized by a metric that captures minutes of use of our nationwide VoiceOne(TM) network," he added.

Specifically, in May 2004, VoIP, Inc.'s network minutes of use were approximately 100,000/month. VoIP, Inc.'s monthly minutes of use jumped to over 250,000,000/month, after acquiring Volo Communications, and the VoiceOne network in June 2005, both of which were developed and founded by Shawn Lewis. Then in November 2005, after VoIP, Inc. acquired WQN, an international pre-paid phone card company, the company's annualized minutes of use for 2005 leaped to 3.6 billion.

"Now, we are passing our competitors with an average of over 8 million calls inbound/outbound daily. This kind of growth is extraordinary, and can be attributed to the great technical advantage we have in Shawn Lewis, who many regard as the father of Voice Over IP, and the team we have put in place during the past several months. We have worked hard to add customers, and we have signed up an incredible number of high-profile ones," VoIP, Inc.'s President Mike Adler said.
