Logica to provide Vodafone Sweden with a next-generation customer care and billing solution

LONDON -- Logica, the global solutions company, today announced that Vodafone Sweden has selected it to provide a next-generation customer care and billing (CC&B) solution to support their market leading next-generation mobile services. The solution will ultimately enable Vodafone Sweden to bill effectively for next-generation services such as MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service). The operator's current system is not the optimal solution to bill for next-generation services. Logica will provide overall programme management, strategic consultancy, integration, delivery and implementation -- having full responsibility through the lifetime of the initiative. The online billing software is Portal Software's Infranet(R) platform. Spokesperson Anders B Ohlsson at Vodafone Sweden said: "This illustrates our commitment to retain our market-leading position by investing in this next-generation solution being implemented by Logica. "We selected Logica because it has a strong track record of delivering innovative customer care and billing solutions on time and to budget.
