ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- Verizon Wireless today announced it is bringing the nation's largest 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to Rome, GA in the coming weeks. With the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, customers can enjoy the best experience in wireless data usage when they use their 4G LTE wireless devices in Rome to surf the Web, stream music and video, take advantage of thousands of applications, and stay in touch with family and friends, all with speeds up to 10 times faster than before.

When Verizon Wireless turns on its 4G LTE network in Rome, customers in Floyd and Polk counties--including the cities of Rome, Armuchee, Cave Springs, Cedartown, Rockmart and highly trafficked areas such as Martha Berry College, Floyd County Hospital, Polk County Airport and State Mutual Stadium--will have access to the nation's fastest 4G network.

"The future is here in Rome and it is Verizon Wireless 4G LTE. We've always believed that the best wireless devices deserve the best wireless networks. Our 4G LTE network covers more than two-thirds of the U.S. population and provides our customers with the fastest 4G experience possible. We are bringing customers in Rome a level of wireless data service that is revolutionizing the way we communicate," said Jonathan LeCompte, president - Georgia/Alabama region, Verizon Wireless.
