EXTON, Penn. -- The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) today announced that a stellar panel of thought leaders from the vendor community will address technology-driven opportunities that are on the horizon for the cable industry as part of the opening session of SCTE Cable-Tec Expo® this fall.

Designed to set the tone for Cable-Tec Expo as the industry’s premier engineering event, the opening session also will feature keynote remarks by Esser that will highlight the roles of technology and customer service in meeting subscriber expectations, as well as a conversation between Esser and Jha on how evolving cable networks and wireless can help to meet customer demands. Additional opening session participants will be announced in the near future.

“The innovations that are powering change in cable are coming not only from our traditional vendors, but from new players who recognize the value of partnering with our industry,” said Terry Cordova, chairman of the program committee for Cable-Tec Expo and senior vice president and CTO of Suddenlink Communications. “Our vendor panel will provide additional perspective that will complete the picture of the future that will be painted by Pat, Sanjay and others.”
