SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Bonneville InternationalCorporation's KSL-TV, NBC's affiliate in Salt Lake City, Utah, selectedDiviCom® digital video encoding and remultiplexing systems from HarmonicInc. (Nasdaq:HLIT - news) to digitally broadcast the Games. KSL Televisionwas Utah's Official Television Station for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.Harmonic's solution allowed KSL-TV to deliver multiple digital servicesincluding High Definition (HD) and Standard Definition (SD) television, aswell as digital radio and data through its 19.4 Mbps of ATSC bandwidth.KSL-TV demonstrates the viability, feasibility and the increased revenuepotential associated with digital broadcasting."We faced a monumental task in managing our digital spectrum during the2002 Winter Games.
