WASHINGTON -- Ubee Interactive, formerly known as Ambit, is highlighting an array of innovative products and solutions at the National Cable and Telecommunications Association (NCTA)‘s 58th Annual Convention & International Exposition, held from April 1-3 in Washington, D.C. Featuring the company’s new look at booth #1313, Ubee will also be demonstrating several IP (Internet Protocol) migration solutions which, along with its ever expanding DOCSIS® 3.0 product line, illustrate the company’s vision for converged network migration.

Ubee’s demonstrations portray convergence to IP networking by way of several “transport gateways” which convert either QAM or DVB-C signals on the access network to IP within the home, enabling the use of cost-effective IP devices, whether they are PCs, media gateways, or other internet appliances used by consumers. One such device on display is Ubee’s own “green” IP set top box. This compact IP set top uses a patent-pending liquid cooled heat dissipation system and a multi-state power scheme that lowers power consumption by over 50%.

Beyond IP video products, Ubee will have its growing line of DOCSIS® 3.0 products on display, including their new DDM 3500 “8 x 4” modem (up to 8 downstream channels and 4 upstream channels), enabling data rates of up to 320 Mbps. Like its predecessor, the U10CO35 DOCSIS® 3.0 modem, the DDM3500 is based on the same small-footprint packaging that both operators and consumers appreciate. To round out their DOCSIS 3.0 portfolio, Ubee is also introducing their model DVW3200 Wireless EMTA, incorporating 802.11n, 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports, and USB connectivity into a single integrated device.
