Level 3 and Time Warner Cable enter into multi-year agreement for backbone and infrastructure services by Level 3 Communications

BROOMFIELD, Colo. -- Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE: LVLT) today announced that it has signed a multi-year agreement with Time Warner Cable Inc. (NYSE: TWC) to expand Time Warner Cable's national network. The agreement also includes the delivery of additional core infrastructure services that will enhance the redundancy and reliability of the Time Warner Cable network.

The agreements into which Level 3 and Time Warner Cable are entering build upon and strengthen the strategic business relationship between the two companies. The companies also have agreed on terms and conditions under which they will exchange IP traffic between their respective backbone networks.
