Turkcell arranges $3B unsecured syndicated financing for international investments

ISTANBUL, Turkey -- Turkcell (NYSE: TKC, ISE: TCELL), the leading provider of mobile communications in Turkey, announced today that it mandated Akbank T.A.S., Citibank N.A., Garanti Bankasi A.S., HSBC Bank Plc, J.P. Morgan Plc and Standard Bank Plc as lead arrangers for an unsecured syndicated financing through a committed facility amounting to USD 3 billion. This financing will be utilized for potential international investments, if one or more opportunities are realized as its efforts to selectively seek and evaluate new international investment opportunities continue and for general corporate purposes and the utilization of the financing will be based upon need.
