Telrad Networks wins IP/MPLS, triple-play, and network integration project at NewNet in the Republic of Georgia

ROSH HA'AYIN, Israel -- Telrad Networks announced today that Akhali Kselebi Ltd. (NewNet Telecommunications), the 2nd largest carrier in the republic of Georgia, has chosen Telrad Networks (through its System Integration division) to deploy and commission a complete IP/MPLS-based, VoIP & triple play network throughout the country, enabling NewNet to offer subscribers with voice and multi media services over a user-centric, converged network.
The initial phase is estimated at approximately $7 million USD and among the competing companies were Alcatel, Huawei, Iscartel, TDK, and others.
Telrad Networks will be responsible for the deployment and commissioning of a best-of-breed, IP/MPLS-based Voice, data & Video networking system, providing a complete customized multi-vendor network that will provide advanced IP-based services.
