tComLabs announces it has changed its name to Excentis
November 15, 2006
GHENT, Belgium -- Today, tComLabs announces it has changed its name to Excentis. The new name stands for Excellence in Telecom and ICT Services and reflects the expansion of the company’s service portfolio.
Back in 2000, tComLabs started out as a test lab for the certification of the Euro-DOCSIS standard for European data-over-cable networks. Although since then its testing activities have widened into new areas, the company is now much more than merely a test lab. Its services gradually expanded to training and consulting, and in 2006 a first test and measurement product, ByteBlowerTM, was launched.
“The change of our name is inspired by the expansion of our services portfolio for the telecom and ICT industry,” said Luc Martens, CEO of Excentis. “Our outstanding excellence of work combined with flexibility, neutrality and short-term delivery enables us to offer premium services for the broad telecom and ICT industry.”
