Cooperation covers handsets and data card devices for mobile applications

SHENZHEN, China -- ZTE Corporation ("ZTE"), the leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions today announced that it has established a cooperation with T-Mobile, one of Europe's largest mobile operators. This cooperation covers handsets and data card devices for mobile applications. T-Mobile and ZTE have declared a new strategic partnership spanning all the European markets of T-Mobile.

The signing of a General Framework Agreement (GFA) on handsets and data cards emphasizes the intention to strengthen the cooperation between T-Mobile and the Chinese telecoms equipment provider. The GFA represents a contract framework that spans the whole handling of a project and the possible adjustments of ZTE's mobile products for T-Mobile. Both partners agreed on the implementation of joint projects in the future. The GFA was signed on 18 November 2008 in Macao.

ZTE possesses a very good and long lasting relationship with Germany's No.1 network operator Deutsche Telekom and it's affiliate T-Mobile. The relationship has been stepped up considerably in the last few months, this is why ZTE has opened a new office in Bonn. ZTE now has a dedicated business unit in Bonn, aiming to support Deutsche Telekom in setting up modern infrastructures for fixed and mobile networks.
