Customers will be offered HP laptops with integrated HSDPA modules with a built in T-Mobile data SIM card

ZAGREB, Croatia -- T-Mobile, market leader in the field of mobile communications, and the leading IT company Hewlett–Packard announced today the planned cooperation which encompasses the offer and promotion of specially adjusted Hewlett-Packard laptops with integrated HSDPA modules with built in T-Mobile data SIM cards. These solutions will provide customers with a high speed access to the Internet in a quick and simple manner.

Announcement of partnership marks the intention of the companies to keep on, in line with customers' wishes, offering new products which will help customers improve even their businesses even more.

Synergy of know how of the two companies, leaders in their fields, and in line with wishes and needs of mutual customers resulted in this whole product. Hewlett-Packard is the largest IT company worldwide and that global strength reflects also in Croatia where HP is the leader in almost all segments where it operates. Thus, in the segment of laptops HP holds the head position, while HP's laptop market share in 2007 is 37.7 percent (IDC).

„Users of our laptops want a fast, mobile connection to the Internet, where we are much helped by the great HSDPA coverage offered by T-Mobile. Hewlett-Packard integrates HSDPA technology in more and more of its models and that trend will continue in future. HP laptops with an integrated HSDPA module have a large integrated antenna in the screen and receives the signal much better compared to computers with HSDPA PCMCIA cards or PC cards.“, said Igor Fiolić, PSG Country Manager from Hewlett-Packard. Apart from laptops, the HSDPA technology is integrated also in the palm pilot HP iPAQ 614c which is also adjusted to work in T-Mobile network. During Microsoft Windays the HSDPA technology can be tried out at HP and T-Mobile stands.
