STOCKHOLM -- Sylantro Systems Corp. today announced the company has further extended mobility options for mobile workers and consumers with a suite of new video, Wi-Fi and telephony applications, features and device integrations for hosted Voice over IP (VoIP) communications services. These cutting-edge technologies provide consumers and business users with flexible new options to maintain connectivity and availability across multiple types of endpoint devices -- wherever, whenever and for whomever they choose to be available. At the VON Europe 2005 conference and exposition this week, Sylantro is offering live, hands-on demonstrations of several of these technologies and applications.

The Sylantro mobility solution set transcends the boundaries of wired and wireless networks, desktop applications, video and softphone clients to allow business and consumer users the greatest flexibility in their communications. Service providers can now offer their end-customers a wide variety of choices and options that can be custom-tailored by the user to meet their varying needs. For example, business users can now utilize an industry-first cross-network push-to-talk capability to communicate via Wi-Fi enabled handsets with other phone users such as users of VoIP-capable desk phones. For consumers, applications such as the Swisscom BlueWin Phone allow them to stay connected with friends and family no matter where they happen to be.

"In an increasingly mobile global workplace, businesses are demanding solutions that provide a complete suite of business phone features, as well as advanced IP-based features, on wireless devices," said Jill Kenney of SpectraLink, the leader in workplace Wi-Fi telephony. "By working with Sylantro, we're now able to extend our enterprise-grade telephony features and functionality to customers using hosted VoIP applications."

At VON Europe 2005, Sylantro is offering a number of demonstrations of mobile applications and technologies including SpectraLink's NetLink Wireless Telephones with features such as push-to-talk, abbreviated extension-to-extension dialing, call forking, and simultaneous or sequential ringing across multiple endpoint device types. A consumer application featuring integrated video and other mobile-oriented technologies will also be available. VON Europe is taking place at the Stockholm International Fairs facility May 23 through 26. Sylantro is exhibiting in booth no. 825.

"Hosted communications services offer unique abilities to address the needs of mobile workers, teleworkers and consumers on the go," said Bernard Gutnick, vice president of product marketing for Sylantro Systems. "Sylantro's extensive array of mobile solutions, along with those of our partner companies, allow service providers to deliver on features and options that these mobile users are requiring. These capabilities not only drive adoption, but also increase the stickiness of the service and reduce customer churn."
