BELLEVUE, Wash. -- WatchMark® Corp., a global provider of service assurance solutions for current and future wireless networks, today announced that they through Teleca will co-operate with 3, a new 3G operator owned by Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. and Investor AB. 3 is using WatchMark as part of an agreement with Teleca, which will install and integrate WatchMark's management solution WatchMark Prospect® 7 and its visualization solution WatchMark Pilot® for deployment across its entire network together with other Operations Support Systems. "3 of Sweden is taking a leadership position in mobile multimedia by offering a complete suite of compelling, high quality voice and mobile multimedia services." said Jörgen Askeroth, CTO at 3. "We believe implementing an intelligent performance management solution is an important part of competing for and retaining customers. The ability to proactively manage, trend and report on the performance of our network ensures that we will set a high standard for service quality for our subscribers." As a Greenfield operator deploying a 3G network as its first foray into network operations, 3 conducted extensive evaluation of its go-to-market operations support systems (OSS) solutions. An important task is to assure the quality of the service delivery alongside other basics such as billing and provisioning applications, which is why 3 selected WatchMark Prospect and WatchMark Pilot through their co-operation with Teleca. WatchMark and systems integration partner Teleca will jointly provide rapid implementation of WatchMark Prospect and WatchMark Pilot as 3 continues rollout and increases capacity of its network. "Wireless network operators, particularly those offering services for 3G, recognize the extremely positive effect intelligent performance management has on their business, especially as they move from network-centric to services-centric thinking. The ability to proactively assure network performance in the early days of winning new customers on a new network is vital," said WatchMark President & CEO Todd Eliason. "3 is well positioned to capitalize on the potential for 3G services in Scandinavia and WatchMark is pleased to have been chosen to help consistently deliver the highest possible quality of service to their customers."WatchMark Corp.3
