KIRKLAND, Wash. -- Sproqit Technologies – the leader in thin-client mobile computing – today announced a partnership agreement with Ingram Micro Europe, a division of Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM), the largest global technology distributor. Ingram Micro will distribute Sproqit’s new mobile solutions for accessing email and file browsing from a PDA or Smart phone. The agreement covers 14 countries in the EMEA region and will be launched initially in the UK and France.

Sproqit’s Personal Edition and new Workgroup Edition will be added to the Ingram Micro portfolio to give access to all the features of Microsoft Outlook. Users can remotely access, attach, read and send any file from their handheld device over any connection including local Wi-Fi networks.

Unlike other store-and-forward methods used by the likes of Blackberry, Sproqit’s direct-access architecture means user information is never sent to a third-party data centre and provides real-time access and updates for email, calendar, tasks and notes. Sproqit can also be used to provide powerful wireless access to enterprise business applications.

“With rapidly increasing demand for anywhere mobile access to email and corporate resources, Sproqit contributes to Ingram Micro’s growing ‘Working-Out-Of-Office’ mobility offering. Coupled with the wealth of mobile devises and mobile connectivity solutions currently available at Ingram Micro across Europe, Sproqit can present new sales opportunities to our resellers,” said Anita Lussenburg, Director Vendor Management at Ingram Micro Europe: “Sproqit offers cost-effective solutions and high levels of speed, functionality and customisation across any connection available from the current breed of mobile solutions.”
